Adderley v Telepost Pre-Playoff Preview

Adderley play Telepost tonight in the Pre-Playoff to see who will take on Salop Leisure Premier League side Chester Road tomorrow night. This is the first time they’ve applied for the playoffs, but teams aren’t lacking experience on the big stage. Adderley’s Gary Whitehall has played in the league for a few seasons, and was part of the Archibald Worthington side that stayed up back in 2013. Alan Boulton has won the Shropshire Veterans Merit amongst other competitions, while Tom Hardy has played in the Junior county side. Telepost have a few players who have played in the Premier League including John Addison, Gary Neal, Danny Wornell, Dan Williams and Sam O’Nions. The latter three have also played in the playoffs when trying to get Hanwood in the league.

Adderley captain Alex Hassall says “we’re looking forward to the game tonight as we have been in good form so far this week so hopefully it will continue against Telepost. Only a couple of our lads have played the green before so will be interesting to see how we get on against a very good treble winning side.”

It promises to be a cracking night of action under the lights at the Bayley, with both teams determined to face Chester Road and earn that 14th place in the 2020 Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League.

Entry costs just £1 with a programme if wanted.

There will be live scores here.
