New Crown Green Players Association Tour

Mark Burdett, along with others including our Competitions Secretary Rob Burroughs, are currently in talks with Clubs, bowlers, BCGBA, sponsors, website designers, and many other groups or businesses in the creation of a competitive bowls tour.

During early discussion we asked about potential names and although TPA was muted as a favourable name we have opted for a new name entirely. At the beginning of May we approached the BCGBA with an application for associate membership which has now passed around delegates and will be discussed to a conclusion at July meeting.

The Crown Green Players Association – CGPA endeavour to provide everyone from club bowlers to county stars with the UK’s only dedicated competition tour. Coupled with our drive and focus to foster crown green bowls, we strive to promote the sport we love to new audiences with the end product being a more marketable game appealing to potential bowlers, sponsors, social media, and TV helping secure the future of our clubs and our beloved game.

Currently throughout all Counties and BCGBA ran events, we have numerous competitions which help bring revenue to our clubs and competitive games for the more adventurous bowlers amongst us. Our tour will create a paid membership that gets the buzz going within our great game, matching days gone by when Crown Green Bowls competed with Snooker and Darts for media and sponsorship.

We offer :

*Dedicated Website
*Competition entry system with all monies going back into the game
*Professionally organised Tour
*Live scoring brackets for competition organisers.
*Rankings list compiled from results – CROWN TOUR
*Grand Finals – CROWN DUELS
*Live Stream and TV actively being looked into

Included are copies of the new CGPA logo and potential shirt designs which we would welcome feedback on.

There will absolutely be NO COST to anyone who is not a member of CGPA. Clubs who sign up to CGPA will incur ZERO COST. In such difficult and testing recent times, 2021 will be challenging for all clubs and bowlers and together we are stronger.

Our dedicated team is working tirelessly behind the scenes and I would just take this moment to thank everyone of you.

Keep an eye out on this website for any more developments.
