On this day 4 years ago Sir John Bayley won their first ever League title after gaining 4 winners at Ifton. Castlefields edged into 2nd place after a one chalk win at Bylet by 9-5, last man on Craig Elson running out from 20-16 down to win the game. St Georges had to settle for 3rd place after beating Bowring 10-4, while Hanwood climbed above Meole Brace into 5th after defeating Wem USC 11-3 and Meole lost 9-5 at home to Burway. Hadley USC finished bottom as they lost 8-6 at home to Chester Road, who finished 4th. Wrockwardine Wood beat Newport 10-4 in the other game of the night.
