Bottom two clash

The bottom two clash in the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League tonight with bottom placed Wem travelling to the team 3 points above them Hanmer. Both teams know they need a good result to catch up with the two teams directly above them, Ifton and Bylet. Hanmer skipper Dave Ellison commented “this game is against our local rivals Wem who have done well in the Whitchurch League at our place the last 2 years. We know that another good home result can go a long way towards safety for us and are at full strength.” Opposition captain Graham Dulson admits “we play the Hanmer game pretty well and play it in the Whitchurch League so we expect to do well.” Hanmer have been in form lately with an away win over Meole Brace and beating Bowring on Friday, while Wem have struggled away and an 8-6 win over Burway last Friday was a poor result for them at home, so both teams head into the game in contrasting form.
