Hanmer – Past Records

Report

Hanmer have played in the playoffs for the last seven seasons, finally getting through last season and earning their place in 2017 Shropshire Premier Bowling League. They first entered in 2010, losing to Craven Arms by 19 at the Bowring. In 2011 they lost to Hanwood by 44 on Hadley USC, having the first 9 losers. Burway beat them at Wrockwardine Wood in 2012 by 34 after being level after 9 blocks off. They finally won a game in 2013 against Hanwood on the Bowring, but their player “Paul Hallett” was deemed ineligible and his result turned into a 21-0 loss and another loss overall for Hanmer. In 2014 and 2015 they lost to Hanwood again, by 15 and 9 chalks respectively. But in 2016 they beat Donnington Wood by 13 at Meole Brace and then took on their Premier League team in the final, Hadley USC. In a very close game it went down to the last game of the match, and Alan “Sammy” Faulkner brought it home winning 13 and giving Hanmer their breakthrough.
