Former Champion of Champion Mike Beer of Castlefields is there, along with his team mates Andy Duckett, Adam Jones and Jon Palmer, the Autumn Waterloo holder. Tom Roden used to play at the club, so the Sir John Bayley bowler will hope that helps him, while Roy Bradburn of Bowring has a great record on the green. Wayne Rogers is a former big competition winner in the Meole Open, so knows how to win a competition of this calibre. Wrockwardine Wood pairing Dan and Steve Bodley also take part. There are plenty of big names from outside the county, including Andy Cairns, Dave McDermott, Ivan Smout, John Bailey, Jason Galvin, Dan Petcher and Conor and Paul Chamberlain, all players who have gone far in a major competition before.

It promises to be a great day of competition, so get yourself down the green and see some top players start off the competition season.

ST GEORGE’S OPEN
This is NOT the draw.
Entrants playing Saturday 9th March

Andy Cairns
Kevin Duncalf
Jon Palmer
Richard Worthington
Simon Green
Paul Chamberlain
Dave Mann
Steve Shaw
Gavin Dunkley
Mike Beer
Tom Roden
Roy Bradburn
Andy Duckett
Dan Bodley
Dave McDermott
James Southern
Sandra Gilfedder
Brian Smith
Liam Cruise Taylor
Andy Gibbs
Matthew Allen
Jason Galvin
Adam Dickerson
John Bailey
Damian Morrison
Allan Parsons
Ivan Smout
Darell Matkin
James Fitzpatrick
Conor Chamberlain
Michael Warrington
Jack Savage
Matt Bates
Jordan McDermott
Gaz Bateman
Wayne Rogers
Steve Gilfedder
Mick Hodgkinson
Jack Whitehead
Conall Redmond
Jamie Brooks
Dave Bagnall
Adam Jones
Harrell Gibbs
James Seville
Molly Sullivan
Paul Beechey
Chris Kearns
Natty Tonks
Richard Dandy
Steve Bodley
Nathan Dawes
Andy Hamman
Daniel Jones
Dan Petcher
Glen Herbert
Felix Abba
John Dewey
John Lester.

The first major competition of the season starts as the St Georges Open gets going today, and it starts off with some top quality bowlers!
