On this day four years ago Hadley USC and Castlefields played out a draw with 6 winners each in a thrilling game, Paul Williams winning 19 last on for the Fields to get the draw. Hanwood got some revenge over the Bylet, who beat them in two previous Play Off finals, by winning 10-4 at their place, the first away win since they returned to the league. St Georges earned bragging rights over local neighbours Wrockwardine Wood 11-3, while Ifton defeated Chester Road 9-5 by just 7 chalks. Half the games in the Sir John Bayley and Newport game ended with one player winning single figures, and with the Bayley taking 4 of them, it meant they won the aggregate after the winners were shared. Burway beat Burway 8-6 in the other game of the night.<\/p>\n
