Both teams have been in incredible form this season, but whoever can cope with key absentees in the Isle of Man could be key to a good result. Home joint captain Adam Jones is “looking forward to welcoming the league leaders to Queen Street. As with every other game this year we will look to continue the positive momentum and results that we have achieved so far.” Opposition captain Rob Jones is also “looking forward to our trip to Castlefields. They are clearly playing very well and will I’m sure be looking for a comprehensive home win. We have a few out at the Isle of Man but will look to get as many as we can.” Sir John Bayley are a long way off both teams in 3rd, but will look for a big home win over Wem USC to close the gap above, Wem hoping to overcome a poor run of form away. The bottom two face tough home games as they look to close the gap on the teams above them, and know a home win is vital considering their next two games after this one are both away. Chester Road host St Georges, who have come through a poor run to be firing again, and captain Gary Beff is “looking forward for a positive home result to follow up what was an excellent away performance last week.” Bylet are hosting Hanwood, who have had a good record on Bylet in recent years, but have only one away win so far this season. Bylet spokeswoman Cheryl Caswell says “we know it is going to be a tough game as it is every game in the Premier League and we know Hanwood will come with confidence. But we are just trying to concentrate on what we are doing as we approach the second half of the season and now what other teams around us, we are looking forward to a good game.”

Hanmer will be looking for a good home win over Newport to move above their opponents and clear of the bottom two. But Newport are in good form and playing with confidence. Meole Brace have been excellent at home so far this season and will look to continue that against Highley, however Highley drew their last away game and would love to repeat that. Burway are a place above Ifton and will look to extend their gap over them as they host them in Ludlow. They will want to bounce back from their last home game, but Ifton are doing well away having drawn at St Georges and got a good 5 at Hanmer in their last two trips.

Week 12 Fixtures:

Castlefields v Wrockwardine Wood

Sir John Bayley v Wem USC

Chester Road v St Georges

Bylet v Hanwood

Hanmer v Newport

Meole Brace v Highley

Burway v Ifton

Top Two meet, Bayley look to take advantage, Bottom two face tough home games The top two meet in week 12 of the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League as long term leaders Wrockwardine Wood travel to Castlefields.
