The other two big guns of SJB & Castlefields will inevitably be involved and after the signings they’ve made over the winter I’d personally make SJB strong favourites to win the league this time around.

Dark Horses: I don’t think there will be any others springing out the pack but after St George’s pinched 2nd spot last year can they pull off a surprise, bring the glory years back, push on and challenge this year?

Thoughts on the bottom of the table: As long as it’s not us again after a disaster last year then I don’t really care. There is always 5-6 teams in a tight scrap down there so it’ll be interesting as usual. Will Burway get dragged down there after losing Mr Burway himself Wayne Rogers and other key players leaving? Obviously it’ll be a huge test and step up for Adderley this year after being invited in place of Newport, home wins will be key for them in order to survive.

Player to watch (own team): I don’t like singling people out on this one, I’m hoping the return of a number of my signings settle in and hit the ground running. No idea on other players from other teams.

Aim for your team: To not finish bottom again!! After a disaster with not getting a team together consistently until the back end of last season I’m hoping we can push on towards mid table where we were hovering the previous few years. Having a number of signings return and holding onto everyone other than Sammy, I think we are in a much stronger position to do that. A deep cup run in any competition would be great aswell.

Who do you think will challenge for the Play Offs: I’d personally love Newport to give it a right good go with whoever they’ve got left playing, they will be sorely missed after their success in the league and have one of the best greens in Shropshire. Will Hadley push back into the mix, heard they’ve recruited well. The obvious candidates are obviously Wrockwardine Wood, if they carry on where they left off then they will be a difficult force to stop. Time will tell whether or not they are indeed the new class act in the league or if they simply did a Leicester.

Dark Horses: Ifton – finished strong the end of last season and with a couple of good signings they could find themselves in the title race .

Thoughts on the bottom of the table: Newly promoted teams always find it tough coming into the league, so it will be interesting to see how the new boys in Adderley do, unless they’ve made significant signings I can see them struggling.

Player to watch (own team): A few players to watch in my own team. All of the new lads have something to prove and believe they will be the key to our own success this season , however I will mention young Owen Evans, had a full season last year and proved what pedigree he had, I can see Owen becoming a very good bowler and now with knowledge of the away greens I can see him having a good season! A quick mention for Tom Roden as well, been a class act for the Bayley over recent years and is a very good player to have back full time!

Player to watch (other team): Owen Jackson for Ifton, Sam the snake Millward on Wrockwardine will be solid , Mark Taylor back for Castlefields I can see winning a few games and very interesting to see if Steve Morrey plays for Adderley, it would be good to see how he adapts to the Premier League.

Aim for your team: I think every new captain’s first aim is to better the season we had last so that’s my first goal. After that I would obviously love to win something. Me and Tom want to achieve more of a team atmosphere this season and the early signs are very good.
