Highley look for first win, Ifton look to continue good start, Bayley face tough Hanmer trip<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highley look for their first win at home to Wem USC in week 4 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. This is their first home game after their 1st was called off, and they will be looking for home comforts after just 5 points from their first two games. Captain Reece Farr says “we have a good squad depth this season and will only improve. It’s our first home game and we have a good record against Wem and hoping to continue that and get off to good\u00a0start\u00a0at\u00a0home.” St Georges are winless because of no home game so far and will be wanting for a good result at home to Meole Brace to start moving up the table. Meole will look to bounce back from their home loss last week against Castlefields. Fields will look to build on that win as they entertain Chester Road, however the Roaders did win there last season in an incredible win. Ifton sit top of the table and will look for a good home win over Adderley, but the Adders will be buoyed by their fine 11-3 win over St Georges last week. Hanmer are another team that will be confident after a win at Burway last week. Captain Ieuan Pugh says “we know we’ve got a tough match against the Bayley. They have got arguably the best squad in the league. We are looking forward to the challenge. We aim to keep the good form going.” The Bayley have had a great start to the season but this will be a tough test for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Champions Wrockwardine Wood travel to the Bylet looking to reverse only one of three losses they suffered last season. The Bylet beat 5 of the top 6 last season, and will love to repeat that feat. Spokeswoman Cheryl Caswell said “we look forward to welcoming our visitors for the second time this season in what I expect to be a good competitive game played in the correct spirit (hopefully with the lights turned on this time!). Although they will start as favourites, our focus is solely to try and get as many points as we can to add to our victory midweek. We will see where that takes us on what has been a slow start to the season for us due to the weather and floodlight failure.” Burway got a good 5 at Bylet midweek and will look to build on that at Hanwood, who will want to bounce back from 3 winners at Sir John Bayley last week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
