They travel to Ifton, knowing a win there, like their 9-7 win last season, could be vital to hold off Castlefields. Ifton captain Dickie Jones is “expecting a real tough game. They will be looking for any sort of win as they look to win our league. Our home form has been good so it should be a good match.” Castlefields have another home game against Hanmer as they look to close the 6 point gap at the top, but Hanmer did get 7 winners there last season. The bottom two in the league are both at home this week, with both locked on 114 points. Adderley host Burway, who will look to react from their home loss against Meole Brace last week, but not many will have seen the green before. Wem USC do host a familiar face in Chester Road, a team that only lost by 2 at theirs last season, and will also be looking for a reaction after losing at home last week.

The Champions Wrockwardine Wood travel to Meole Brace in their 2nd away game in as many weeks. Skipper Rob Jones says “we go into tomorrow’s game at full strength and in good recent form, so we will be looking for a decent points haul!” St Georges are in 4th and host the Bylet, looking to keep Ifton at bay who are 9 points behind them. Bylet are only 11 points off 9th place, and have two home games left after this one. Highley also have two home games left starting with Hanwood at home, who are in form after two fine results in their last couple of games. Highley captain Reece Farr says “we take on Hanwood tonight, we managed to get 6 winners over there and just dipped put on shots. We will be hoping to continue our home form and get another win on the board and push for our second highest finish in the league.”

Week 24 Fixtures:

Ifton v Sir John Bayley

Castlefields v Hanmer

Wem USC v Chester Road

Adderley v Burway

Meole Brace v Wrockwardine Wood

St Georges v Bylet

Highley v Hanwood

Bayley face tough Ifton trip, Bottom two at home, Wrockites away again League leaders face their toughest test left of the season in week 24 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League.
