The format of the competition meant that all 14 clubs were represented together with the League Merit winner and the player with the Most consecutive wins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final saw Colin with a high quality start lead 7-2 and although Derel recovered to be only 12-10 down, Colin stretched his lead to 18-12 on his favoured mark. With the score at 20-16, Derek lay on for two but Colin played up, struck the jack towards his back bowl and score the final chalk to clinch his win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the semis, Beaman managed to see off Spencer Clarke (Sir John Bayley) 18 after leading all the way.
