The Pool A&B takes place this Sunday at Bylet Bowling Club starting at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been three withdrawals in the Pool A this week from St Georges, Wrockwardine Wood and Hanwood. All have been fined \u00a325 for withdrawing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means that the Pool A will be starting later at about 12.45 and will be redrawn. The four Pool A teams Sir John Bayley, Castlefields, Ifton and Hanmer are to be there for 12.15<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pool B Draw\u00a0<\/strong>(Played on the small green from the Semi Finals):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burway have a bye<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highley v Meole Brace on the prem green<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adderley have a bye<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bylet v Wem USC on the small green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highley, Meole Brace, Bylet and Wem USC to be there for 9.45. Adderley to be there for 11.30 and Burway for 12.15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first presentation of the 2023 prizes is at about 12.30 followed by the Semi Finals of the pool A on the prem green and pool B on the far green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another presentation for the two hall of famers will take place in between the Semi Finals and Final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BCGBA dress code applies throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All games will be 21up throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be bacon rolls and cold rolls available for breakfast and lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free parking on the car park on the right as you turn into Severn street so best to park there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rules for the competition are below. All players must be registered before playing in any round. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Competition open to all affiliated League clubs. In the event that the Management Committee requests that the competition is made up to sixteen teams, the secretary will invite other clubs to participate in the competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The Pool A will be contested by the top 8 teams and the Pool B by the rest of the league and any invited teams from the rule above.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Any team who withdraw from the competition will be fined \u00a325.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. All games to be 21 up under B.C.G.B.A. rules and standard jacks to be used.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. The number of players in each team shall be eight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. The competition will be played at a Premier League club with two greens as determined by a rota. The team whose green the competition is being held on will play on the green they do not play on. They will owe 2 and start without the jack for the first two rounds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. It will be played as a straight knockout. All games up to the final will be 21 up starting on 6.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. The aggregate score shall decide the match. In the event of a tie on aggregate, the match shall be decided firstly by the most number of wins per team, secondly by the best winner and thirdly by each team\u2019s best win in descending order.  If the game is still tied after these criteria, each captain will nominate one player to play a one off game, with the first player to 11 determining the overall winner.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Any club not sending its full compliment of players shall forfeit 21 points in each case.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. Any matters not provided for in the above rules, and not covered in our Match or Management Rules, shall be dealt with by the League Management Committee, whose decision shall be final.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
