Top two clash, Horsehay take on Fields <\/strong><\/strong>, Meole face Wrockites test<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top two of the league clash in week 4 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Sir John Bayley host St Georges with both teams having won 3 out of 3 so far. St Georges captain Josh Bradburn is “looking forward to the game, my aim was for us to be in the mix at the top of the table by the time we played the Bayley, so we can now test ourselves with the favourites of the league. Looking forward to a loud and competitive\u00a0game.” Castlefields find themselves just behind those two and take a first ever trip to Horsehay. Captain Steve Peach says “we\u2019re looking forward to the challenge of Horsehay as quite a few of our lads have never played the green before, so I\u2019m sure it will be a tough game and hopefully we come away with\u00a0a\u00a0decent\u00a0result!” Horsehay got a decent 4 winners at Highley in their last game but were still a little disappointed. Spokesman Steve Reeves said “Horsehay travelled to Highley looking to get more points on the board. We were 2 across after the first four but Highley took the middle 4-0 with us sharing the back 2-2. We left feeling a little disappointed feeling we should have got more from the game and a little bit of luck would have seen us over the line. Thanks to the Highley lads for a good game.” Onto the Castlefields game and he adds “we look forward to welcoming one of the title favourites to Horsehay when Castlefields visit this Friday. We know they are strong from 1-12 and we\u2019ll be in for a tough game but we are all relishing the opportunity to play and ensure they are in for a good game.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrockwardine Wood have had a good start and face a trip to Meole Brace who come off a good home in their first home game. Skipper Nick Davies said “after an encouraging start to the season we were brought back down to Earth with a bump last week by a heavy defeat at Adderley. So this week I\u2019m looking for a reaction to that against a strong and fancied Wrockwardine Wood side who last season beat us on agg with 6 wins apiece. We\u2019ve got Chris Jones back from holiday and his recent County Squad call-up has been a big boost to the Meole Team. It\u2019ll be a challenging game for the Team – one I\u2019m hoping they\u2019ll overcome to get our season back on track.” Bottom of the table Bylet face a long and tough trip to Hanmer who have had a solid start to the season. Wem USC just sit above Bylet and will be looking for a home win over Adderley who come off their first win of the season last week at Meole Brace, as well as winning the Pool B. Burway and Highley have just won one game so far this season and meet in Ludlow looking to double that tally. Ifton have won their last two games and will look for a good home win over Hanwood, but the visitors got a good 5 winners at Hanmer a couple of weeks ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
