Bylet win again, Castlefields whitewash, Hanwood earn good win<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bylet won their first game since the opening game in week 18 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Captain Cheryl Caswell says “we have played well as a team in recent home games and not managed to get the points we deserve, so to get the win on Friday was good given our position and the games we have to come. We wish Hanmer well for the rest of the season and perhaps a first for the league, three generations of the same family playing in one team?” Best winner for them was Ian Hopson 1 while Matt Beeston was best for the visitors 8. Castlefields inflicted another whitewash on Horsehay with Adam Jones leading the way with his 21-1 victory. They gained on the league leaders Sir John Bayley who got 5 points at St Georges. Scott Simpson was their best winner 9, with Gordon Hawkins best for the home side 5. Wrockwardine Wood also gained on the leaders with a 11-3 success over Meole Brace. Sally King and Sam Millward were best winners 6, and Mark Thomas 15 for Meole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hanwood kept up their good form with a 11-3 victory over Ifton. Skipper Simon Lane says “an enjoyable evening against a great team in Ifton. Our lads battled hard in all of the close games with great support from the sides, we managed to get over the line in all of those close games giving us a great result.” Best winner was Dave Burton 3 with Nicky Jones best for the Miners 12. The other two games ended 9-5 to the home side. Adderley defeated Wem USC with Jack Hazeldine best winner 6 for them and Scott Thomas best for Wem 8. Highley beat Burway as Dave East led the way 21-1, and captain Adam Dovey led the visitors with his 21-11 card. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir John Bayley are 5 ahead of Castlefields and another 8 ahead of Wrockwardine Wood. Horsehay are 11 behind the Bylet, who are 20 adrift of Adderley. Callum Wraight still leads on 16 wins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
