Top two face two tough trips, Bottom two go away, Battle for 3rd.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two big games at the top of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League in week 25 as the top two travel away. League leaders Sir John Bayley go to Burway, knowing any win there would make it difficult for them to be caught. Vice-captain Tom Roden says “it’s been the same message every week since our trip to Castlefields, we have to win every match. A loss probably costs us the league and a win leaves it in our hands with one game to go. The team knows what’s required but it won’t be easy against a good\u00a0Burway\u00a0side.” 2nd placed Castlefields go to Highley, knowing a win is a must, this was where they lost their only game in the last 10 last season which ultimately cost them. Skipper Steve Peach says “it\u2019s a big week in the title race! We know we\u2019re second favourites for the title going into our game at Highley where we lost 8-6 last year but we will be trying all we can to keep our hopes alive. It will be a tough match but the lads are more than capable of\u00a0getting\u00a0the\u00a0win.” Highley and Burway are both looking for their first top half finish though so both need to win too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bottom two travel away, Horsehay knowing they have to win at Adderley to have a chance of catching Bylet above them. If they don’t improve on Bylet’s result by at least one then they know they will finish bottom, but Bylet have a tough visit to St Georges, who are still eyeing up 3rd place. Wrockwardine Wood currently occupy that place and will want a good home win over Hanwood to stay there, Hanwood looking to stay in 6th place, but do have their last two games away from home. Ifton travel to Wem USC knowing a win there would set them up for next week’s home game against rivals St Georges in that battle for 3rd. Wem occupy 10th place at the moment and could still finish 9th, an improvement on last year’s 14th place! Meole Brace are just below them though, and entertain Hanmer who currently have 9th place, just two points separating the two teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
