Alex Wolfenden won the first ever Shifnal Spring Open after beating Scott Simpson 21-17 in the final that finished just before half 11. He was 12-4 down but played a good bowl to get in and played very well on a mark over the middle to lead 15-12 and win 17. In the Semi Finals he beat Clay Flattley in the only game he lead early, going 8-3 up and then holding off any fightback by Clay to win 16. The other Semi saw Scott Simpson go 14-2 up on Sam Millward and win 8. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well done to Alex on his success and being on the reserve list for the Champion of Champions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clay Flattley was only 11-9 up on Nick Jones but then won 10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Wolfenden was 16-7 down on Josh Cotton but won 18. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sam Millward was 10-7 down to Callum Mitchell but then ran out from 14 across. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott Simpson was 15-10 down to Callum Wraight and ran out from 17-15 behind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last 16:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nick Jones was 9-4 and 12-6 up on Jackie Rutter and won 16. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clay Flattley was 11-6 up on Tom Killen and then 17-14 down but won 18. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex Wolfenden was 14-3 and 17-9 down to Jamie King but ran out from 20-14 down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sam Millward was 9-2 down to Dan Taylor but from 13-12 down he ran out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Callum Mitchell was 18-7 and 19-14 down to Emmet McKinley but ran out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott Simpson was 17-9 up on Rob Roden but Rob got back to 17-15 however Scott won 17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Callum Wraight was 9-4 up on Chris Worthington and ran out. <\/p>\n\n\n
