Hanmer hammer, Adders & Highley win away<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hanmer produced a big 12-2 win over St Georges to continue their good start to the season in week 2 of Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Joint captain Dave Ellison says “it was a very good reuslt on Friday against a changed St Georges team. We got off to a great start and won the first 4 games which set up us for the rest of the night. Special mentions to Ant Harper and Mike Gilpin for their performances and Martin Gaut and Julie Alderman from St Georges.” Mike Gilpin was best winner 6 with Julie Alderman best for St Georges 11. Ifton also had a good home win over Hanwood 11-3 to kickstart their season off. Joe Langford was their best winner 5 and Shaun Bould\u2019s 13 win was best for the visitors. Sir John Bayley and Castlefields both won 10-4 over Wrockwardine Wood and Meole Brace respectively. The Bayley\u2019s best winners were Josh Bradburn and Reece Farr 7 with Steve Broome Wrockwardine\u2019s best winner 8. For the Fields it was Rhys Marshall and Mike Beer best winners 6 and for Meole it was Dave Redge and Doug Edwards 14.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bottom two from last year kicked their home season in contrasting fashions. Bylet won 8-6 again versus Burway in a more convincing manner than last season. Best winner for them was captain Cheryl Caswell 5 with Kiah Roberts best for the visitors 10. Horsehay though started with a home loss against Adderley 11-5. Adderley skipper Connor Whitehall says \u201cwe got off to a good start winning 6 out of the first 8 blocks, but a couple of bad cards for us made the agg very close with the last 3 games on the green. The green was in great condition and we wish Horsehay all the best for the rest of the season.\u201d Best winner for Horsehay was John Roberts Jnr and Gavin Bridge 6 with the Adders best winner being Steve Morrey 10. Highley had a great 11-5 win at Wem USC to continue their good start to the season. Best winner was Jacob Ash 12 with Curtis Metcalfe best for Wem by the same score. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
