Adders, Highley & St Georges aim to stop top three, Hoss need win<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top three of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League are all away in week 10 as their opponents aim to cause a shock. League leaders Castlefields travel to Adderley looking for their fourth 14-2 win of the season. Adderley captain Connor Whitehall says “tonight will obviously be a tough game for us. But after some decent home wins so far this season we hope to improve on the 4 points we have had from this fixture in the 2 previous years.” Wrockwardine Wood are in second and travel to Highley, a venue that they lost 10-4 at last season. This is Highley’s third home game in a row, and have got 20 points so far from their previous two. Sir John Bayley moved down to 3rd place after Castlefields and Wrockwardine Wood’s wins on Wednesday, and go to St Georges. St Georges skipper Martin Gaut says “it’ll be a tough match when Sir John Bayley visits us, but we’re ready to give it our all. We have a huge incentive to be the first team to beat them\u00a0this\u00a0season.” The Bayley have never won at St Georges in a 12 a side match in the league, but know they need to if they are to keep pace at the top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Horsehay have a must win as they host Hanmer, a team only 9 points ahead of them. Hanmer come off just 4 winners at Wem USC so would want to improve on that to avoid getting dragged into trouble. Wem USC got their first win in 8 against Hanmer and will want to build on that against Ifton, who are looking for a reaction from their last home game, a loss against the Bayley. Hanwood came back down to earth with just 3 winners away at Highley after winning at Wrockwardine last Friday, and will want to put right their loss at home to the Bylet two weeks ago when they host Burway. But Burway are currently riding high in 4th and are in good form, getting 7 winners at Adderley two weeks ago. Meole Brace take on Bylet, with Meole only looking for their third win of the season, and Bylet looking for their third win in a row. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
