Bottom two clash, Top two at home, Battle for 5th<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bottom two clash in week 24 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Hanmer take on the team below them in Horsehay knowing any win will see them safe, or even a small loss. Joint captain Dave Ellison says “we host Horsehay tonight knowing that one good results sees us clear of the bottom spot for this season. Horsehay have picked up some good form in the second half of the season and will want to end the season on a high regardless. Rain is expected and it might just help us after the dry conditions of the last few months.” Horsehay vice captain Craig Baugh says “going into tonight’s game off the back of a win from last week we know as a collective group to get anything decent out of this game we have to put in a performance like we did at Adderley. Always a good night with the Hanmer lads and may it continue on Friday.” Bylet are just above the two and host Meole Brace knowing they could seal safety mathematically with a win, while Meole know a win could help them get 5th. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The top two are both at home, leaders Castlefields host Adderley and Sir John Bayley take on St Georges. The Bayley know they could do with bridging the gap or at least maintaining to have any chance of catching Fields by the end of the season. Adderley and St Georges could still get 8th, with the latter currently sitting in that place. The battle for 5th sees Hanwood favourites now given their recent good run but they travel to Burway who sit 17 below them now having been 5th the early part of the season. Burway skipper Adam Dovey is “really looking forward to welcoming Hanwood to us Friday. Always enjoy playing against them. Hoping to get back to winning ways after last week, a lot of games didn\u2019t go our way last week. 3 games to go and looking to finish strong after a mixed\u00a0few\u00a0weeks.” Highley sandwich the two and travel to Wrockwardine Wood looking for the same 6 winners they got last season, with Wrockwardine knowing they are locked in 3rd place now. Ifton are also locked in 4th place and travel to Wem USC who come off an impressive away win at Hanmer and can finish in 8th still. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
