Conor Chamberlain won the 2025 Newport Open edging out Tom Killen 20 in a great final! Conor was 7-4 down early on but then went 12-7 up. Tom hit back to 12 across in the corners before Conor hit back to go 19-14 up over the middle. Tom got back in and got back to 19 across in the corners. Conor had a chance for game but didn’t make two, then Tom played a runner a little too hard next end but did count one. He then led a foot bowl on a 20m straight mark but Conor made sure he was there and hit the jack to be about 6 inch away. Tom played a runner and just missed Conor’s bowl to end a great final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Semi Finals both players won 14. Conor beat Phil Jones, despite being pegged back to trail 10-9 after he had gone 9-2 up. Tom defeated his Wrockwardine Wood team mate Josh Cotton, going 7-2 up and from 11 across went 20-12 ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Quarter Finals saw Conor get past Jon Ball 9 after going 14-4 up. Phil defeated Joe Killen 14 after running out from 14 across. Josh Cotton beat Jack Clayton from 14-4 ahead, and Tom got past Pete Farmer 19, going 16-10 up from 10 across and holding his nerve at 19 across. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well done to Conor on his success.<\/p>\n\n\n

Joe Killen from 11-9 went 16-9 up on Clay Flattley and won 14. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil Jones from 11-9 up on Jackie Rutter won 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon Ball was 12-4 up on Sam Millward and despite Sam getting back to 17 across Jon won 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conor Chamberlain was 15 across with Ayden Smith but won 18. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pete Farmer was 9-2 up on Jon Blakeman but was pegged back to 14 across. However Pete got back in and won 15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Killen was only 10-9 up on Adrian Tudor and won 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josh Cotton from 13-4 up on Steve Burroughs won 6. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack Clayton from 8 across won 12 against Ed Proudlove. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Killen was 8-0 up on Stu Rutter and won 12. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clay Flattley was 13-5 up on Gareth Davies and won 11. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phil Jones came back from 9-2 down on Nick Wyer and won 19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jackie Rutter was 9-4 down to Dean Heighway and from 16-14 down he won 17. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sam Millward was 12-3 up on Josh Bradburn and won 8. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon Ball was 10-5 up on Chris Ward but was 17-16 down and had a lucky fire to start a run out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conor Chamberlain was only 11-8 up on Will Childs but won 10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Killen was 13-12 down to Connor Whitehall and from 18 across ran out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adrian Tudor went 12-3 up on Shaun Swinton and won 15. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon Blakeman from 10-5 down to Gavin Bridge went 17-10 up and won 12. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pete Farmer went 13-3 up on Nathan Lacey and won 5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steve Burroughs was only 11 across with Tony Abbey but won 13. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
