Bayley stop Hanwood charge, Wrockites with another win, Fields edge home<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sir John Bayley stopped the Hanwood charge in week 7 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. They beat them 13-1 to move into second place. Scott Simpson was their best winner 3 with Dave Burton the winner for Hanwood 18. Wrockwardine Wood are still top after winning 12-4 at Adderley led by Joe Killen and Josh Cotton’s 11 wins. For Adderley it was Dave Bamford who was their best winning 15. Castlefields had to edge home against Highley to win there 9-7. Mike Beer was best of three single figures to see them win by just 5, Frank Leek Highley’s best winner 8. Ifton had a good away win at the Bylet 11-5 led by Joey Williams’ 10 win, Gavin Bridge the best for the home side 16. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wem USC had a good 11-3 win over Burway to please captain Curtis Metcalfe. “An important game for us at home to Burway being one of the sides around us in the table but being at home we needed to capitalise on that and start to gain ground on them and that\u2019s what we did. A brilliant night from all 12 games and only dropping 6 chalks was the difference from 11 points to 14 points but we used our green well and dominated the evening. Game of the night was Luke Boniface and Paul Williams who had a fantastic game with Luke just getting over the line 21-20.” Best winner for them was Colin Smith 21-4, with Dave Wilding best for Burway 18. St Georges were another to have narrow winners, this time 4 at Woore, with Richard Griggs their best 18. Ian Howell and Ian MacDonald were best for the home side 5. Meole Brace also won 10-4 against Hanmer, Tracy Bound best winner 9. Anthony Harper was best for the visitors 10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrockwardine Wood are three points clear of Sir John Bayley, who are 1 ahead of Castlefields. Bylet are 5 behind Adderley, who are 11 behind Burway. Callum Wraight, Tom Palmer and Clay Flattley have all won 7 games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
