Wrockites look to bounce back, Fields look to capitalise, Bottom two look for home wins<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wrockwardine Wood will be looking to bounce back from their shock home loss last week in week 9 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. They lost at home to rivals Castlefields last week and will be looking for an immediate response. Captain Liam Stevens says “last week was a real blow, ultimately coming up short against a side who were excellent on and off the green. We remain a relatively inexperienced side and hoping we learn quickly from such setbacks, starting with a positive performance against another brilliant side on Friday. It is a green that a few of us often play well, but we were fortunate last year to steal as many points as we did in the end. Hoping to be more competitive on Friday – feels like we need a result or two out of the ordinary between now and the end of the season to get ourselves back in with a sniff.” The Bayley have quietly gone top of the league with some impressive results since their opening day defeat at Ifton, and will look to stay top with a good home win. Castlefields though are just three points behind and will look for a big home win over Hanmer to take advantage of any close result in Wellington. This is Hanmer’s first big test away with not having played any of last year’s top half away from home yet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bylet will be looking to win their second game of the season as they host a St Georges side looking to bounce back from their biggest home loss in the league. Adderley will also look for another home win over Burway, who play their 6th away game already this season, averaging between 2 and 3 so far this season. Hanwood are still in 4th place and will be looking to win at Highley to continue their excellent start to the season, but Highley have also started well, including 7 winners at home to Castlefields. Meole Brace host Ifton, with Meole looking to keep up their decent start to the season while Ifton look to close the gap on the top four. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
