Adders with big win, Burway back to form, Highley roar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adderley got a big win in week 11 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. They beat Wem USC 11-3 to give themselves more of a buffer to bottom place. Captain Gary Whitehall said “after a difficult start to the season all round I would say our new players are starting to look more comfortable on the green, whether we can play our way back into the pack remains to be seen but Friday was another step in the right direction. Some close wins from us early on which set the tone I felt and a good night with Wem as always.” Best winner Gary himself along with Chris Stretch and Steffan Williams 21-9. For Wem it was George Williams best winner 11. Burway returned to form with a 11-5 win at bottom placed Bylet. Skipper Adam Dovey is “really happy with the result Friday, after what\u2019s been a really difficult start to the season with the fixtures we\u2019ve had. Been hard to get a lot of form as a team due to the lack of home games and with us being away again next week it was a important to get a good result. Solid from 1-12 Friday and now onto SJB away!” Best winner was Adam himself 6, while Chris Hayward and Gavin Bridge were best for the hosts 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is as you were at the top with Castlefields and Sir John Bayley winning 12-2 against Ifton and Woore respectively Best for the Fields was Glyn Herbert 8, and for Ifton was Owen Jackson 13. Bayley’s best was Stuart Rutter 6 and for Woore it was debutant Jarrod Hamer 17. Highley went one better against St Georges and won 13-1, John Heath leading the way 7. Greg Carr spared the whitewash with a 19 win on just his second start for the Dragons. Hanmer beat Hanwood 8-6, Matt Beeston and Rich Lawson best winners 8 for the two respective teams. Wrockwardine Wood won 11-5 at Meole Brace by just 9 chalks. Tom Killen was their best winner 6 and Mark Thomas best winner 7 for Meole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Castlefields are 13 ahead of Sir John Bayley and another 7 ahead of Wrockwardine Wood having played a game more. Bylet are 22 behind Adderley, who are 4 behind Burway. Tom Palmer has won 11 out of his 12 games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
