It was a night of high drama tonight in the final night of the Flowfit Shropshire Premier League. Archibald Worthington ended up bottom of the league by 3 points as they only got 2 winners at Burway whilst Bylet beat Hadley USC 12-2. Meole Brace finished 2nd on aggregate edging out Ifton with Sir John Bayley 4th, Castlefields 5th and St Georges 6th. The biggest losers were Wrockwardine Wood who dropped out the top 6 as they finished 7th.<\/p>\n
At the top of the league averages Rob Burroughs overtook Rich Lawson and just pipped Glyn Picknell to the League Averages.Rich lost 14 against an inspired and MVP Gavin Tommy which allowed Rob to sneak in with a 20 win ahead of Glyn who finished 4 shots behind despite a 21-6 home win over last year’s Averages winner Scott Harries. Rob also won the MVPs as he earned his 9th of the season. <\/p>\n
In the first pre-playoff Hanwood beat Hanmer by 9 on St Georges Bottom Green. With Donnington Wood only\u00a0needing 7 from their final home game against Bridgnorth in Division One next week it looks like both teams will still have to play against them with dates and venues hopefully confirmed if they win the league.<\/p>\n
