{"id":4632,"date":"2015-09-19T19:59:34","date_gmt":"2015-09-19T19:59:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thespbl.co.uk\/news\/?p=4632"},"modified":"2015-09-19T19:59:34","modified_gmt":"2015-09-19T19:59:34","slug":"pool-ab-draw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thespbl.co.uk\/news\/?p=4632","title":{"rendered":"Pool A&#038;B Draw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pool A and B Draw for <strong>Wednesday 23rd September at 7 p.m.<\/strong> took place today and fixtures and venues are below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pool A Draw:<\/strong><br \/>\nIfton v Castlefields on Chester Road Ladies Green<br \/>\nSt Georges v Newport on Bowring Prem<br \/>\nMeole and Sir John Bayley\u00a0have byes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"text_exposed_show\">\n<p><strong>Pool B Draw:<\/strong><br \/>\nWem USC v Chester Road on Ifton<br \/>\nBurway v Archibald Worthington on Meole Brace Prem<br \/>\nHadley USC v Bylet on St Georges bottom green<br \/>\nBowring v Wrockwardine Wood on Newport Prem<\/p>\n<p>I will email the host clubs the result sheets so please could host clubs ensure they have a sheet printed out ready to use, as well as jacks and measures please.<\/p>\n<p>The winning team captain should text or phone the result through to John Coxill on\u00a0<strong>07753 603372<\/strong>\u00a0or Martin Gaut on<strong>\u00a007964 294466.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Semi Finals take place on Wednesday 30th September, which should be released after the results are known from the quarter finals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Please find rules below:<\/p>\n<p><u>Premiership Competition<\/u><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The competition shall be confined to clubs affiliated to the SPBL.<\/li>\n<li>All games to be 21 up under B.C.G.B.A. rules and standard jacks to be used.<\/li>\n<li>The number of players in each team shall be eight and the greens, which shall be neutral, shall be selected by members of the Management Committee.<\/li>\n<li>The aggregate score shall decide the match. In the event of a tie on aggregate, the match shall be decided firstly the most number of wins per team secondly by each teams best score in descending order.\u00a0 If the game is still tied after these criteria, each captain will nominate one player to play a one off game, with the first player to 11 determining the overall winner.<\/li>\n<li>Any club not sending its full compliment of players shall forfeit 21 points in each case.<\/li>\n<li>All clubs on whose green a cup tie is played shall provide not less than five standard jacks and a tape measure (19 metre) as required by the B.C.G.B.A.<\/li>\n<li>A result sheet shall be furnished by the SPBL for each match and this shall be in the hands of the referee before the commencement of games and he shall be responsible for its completion. The winning team captain shall be responsible for phoning the result to The Competitions Secretary or the Secretary on the night of the match (<strong>07753 603372 or\u00a007964 294466<\/strong>) and sending the result sheet to The Competitions Secretary immediately the match is finished.<\/li>\n<li>All players must be prepared to play when called upon, otherwise a reserve player must be included or 21 points forfeited.<\/li>\n<li>Each club shall make a donation to the host club for greenage.
