The Flowfit Shropshire Premier Bowling League have 5 players gunning for the Flowfit Champion of Champions glory on Saturday at the Waterloo Hotel Blackpool. Callum Wraight of Castlefields is reigning champion and takes on Lee Heaton,\u00a0who won the Rastrick Classic last week, after beating him 19 at the same venue on Tuesday in the Autumn Waterloo Handicap. He aims to be the first player since 2009 to retain the title when Graeme Wilson did so. Burway’s Wayne Rogers qualified as our County Merit winner and plays\u00a0Wales’ Jason Jones, who won the Richmond Classic last month. Greg Smith of Hanwood, who lost his Autumn Waterloo crown last week but still holds the Spring, takes on Cheshire Merit winner Glynn Cookson in what promises to be a thriller, while Sir John Bayley’s Scott Simpson plays a familar foe in Dan Taylor, his county Merit’s winner, and who also plays for playoff hopefuls Donnington Wood. Ifton’s Leighton Roberts, who won the Isle of Man earlier this month, is on in the first quarter against Kieren Smith of Yorkshire, who had won the West Bromwich Open.<\/p>\n
