The Hanwood bowler was in imperious form all day, defeating three Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League players on his way. He beat Sir John Bayley&#8217;s Chris Ward 5 in the Semi Finals, Burway&#8217;s Wayne Rogers 6 in the Quarters, Steve Morrey 12 and Chris&#8217; team mate Scott Simpson 7 in the first round. Chris had enjoyed a good run to the Semi Finals defeating Andy Spragg 18, who had beaten Callum Wraight 19 first game, Wrockwardine Wood&#8217;s Mark Picknell 19, after he got past former BCGBA Senior Individual Merit Winner Tom Vickers 11 first round, and team mate Ant Bracken 16 first round. Wayne Rogers had beaten Lee Brown 11 and Meole Brace Open Finalist Kevin Boon 17. Stuart Rutter of Wrockwardine Wood also got to the Quarter Finals, getting past former League player Craig Barker 20 and Ben Harris 12 before losing to Darren Plenderleith 16. Andy Moss of Chester Road had beaten Glyn Picknell from St Georges 15 first game before losing to Darren 12. Colin Beaman of Meole Brace lost 12 first round to Steve Morrey, while Sir John Bayley&#8217;s Paul Evans got 10 from Gareth Herbert and his team mate Gordon Hawkins got 13 off Plenderleith in the same round.<\/p>\n<p>The league and Salop Leisure would like to congratulate Greg on his success.<\/p>\n<p>Full scores are <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bowlingresults.co.uk\/competitions\/results.php?yearid=2017&amp;web=comps&amp;if=0&amp;ret=0&amp;compid=34\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It was an emotional day for all but all the bowlers and organising team did Mel Evans MBE proud. There was about \u00a3400 collected in the buckets on the day meaning nearly \u00a32000 has been raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
