The league and Salop Leisure would like to congratulate both players.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12.0pt 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Century','serif'; color: #333333;\">Gary and Connor Whitehall turned on the Premier power to win the Fox Lane Open Pairs at Llanymynech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12.0pt 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Century','serif'; color: #333333;\">The father and son duo, now both playing in the Shropshire Premier League but at different clubs, reunited to win the \u00a3160 first prize on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12.0pt 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Century','serif'; color: #333333;\">They did so by beating Ben Parkes (Fox Lane) and Kelly Richardson (Johnstown) 21-10 in the final after 31 of the full house 32 entries showed up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12.0pt 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Century','serif'; color: #333333;\">Gary has won five of his six games to date for Premier new boys Hanmer while Connor has claimed two wins so far for third in the table Wem USC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12.0pt 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Century','serif'; color: #333333;\">\u201cGary and Connor were deserving winners &#8211; they played the green very well and were the best pair all day long,\u201d admitted beaten finalist Parkes, who was one of the organising team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 12.0pt 0cm 15.0pt 0cm;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16.0pt; font-family: 'Century','serif'; color: #333333;\">\u00a0The Whitehalls raced past Nick Mullinder (HadleyUSC) and Paul Bradburn (Sir John Bayley) 21-5 in their semi-final while Parkes and Richardson were beating Wirral pairing Andy Eccles and Colin Goulding 21-19. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please see below a report from Malcolm Fletcher in the Shropshire Star about two of our bowlers from last weekend.
