The Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League have seven hopefuls in the Senior Individual Merit on Saturday at Nuneaton Griff & Coton Sports Club. Two of them play each other with Meole Brace’s Pete Bound facing Robin Bennett of Hanmer in the 1st round. We have our three Merit winners in the draw with Shropshire Winner Callum Wraight of Castlefields playing Adam Kirby in a repeat of last year’s Midland Masters final which Callum just triumphed. Welsh winner, Ifton’s Kieron Roberts takes on Cheshire Merit Winner Peter Illidge first game with Staffordshire winner Scott Simpson, of Sir John Bayley, competes against John Durrands of Lancashire. Colin Beaman has plenty of competition experience and the Meole Brace left hander plays Cumbria Merit Winner Liam Baxter first of all. Glyn Herbert has won plenty in the league with Castlefields and plays last year’s Meole Brace Open winner Matt Gillies first round.<\/p>\n
