2017 Review:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ifton had a very poor season and were at the risk of finishing bottom most of the season before they regrouped and stayed away from trouble. Their away form, so good in 2015, was poor until near the end of the season when they earned a stunning win at Hanwood. Their home form was alright but did lose three games at home and their best result was only 11-3. However they did make up for it with a County Cup Final. Using 30 players didn’t help their cause either.<\/p>\n

Their cup form was good though, narrowly losing to Meole Brace by 8 in the Semi Finals of the Alan Mayhew Trophy, and reaching the final of the Pool B, being defeated by Burway.<\/p>\n

2018 Aims:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ifton will be looking to recapture that form of 2015 when they finished in 3rd place with 9 away wins. Much will depend on their availability of their best 12 as they struggled to get that out last season. The rumoured signing of Andrew Armstrong will help as long as he can reach his potential, along with the continuing development of their youngsters they played last season. Getting their home form right with big wins will help, along with winning several more away games which they showed they are capable of with their win on previously unbeaten Hanwood. They have a tough game against Hanwood first round of the Alan Mayhew Trophy, but did win home and away against them last season.<\/p>\n
