Paul Evans and Jon Palmer both won their last 32 ties to move into the last 16. Jon was in awesome form, beating Dan Petcher 6 to get through to a game with James Martin, who beat Graeme Wilson 20 to get through. Paul Evans had another close game but held his nerve when playing a running bowl at 20 across to get through.
