Wednesday’s Games Preview

There are two games tonight in the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Chester Road are bottom of the league and are in desperate need of a win at home to Sir John Bayley. Captain Paul Fowles knows it is “another hard game. They will be looking to win but we have to start winning at home to have any chance of getting ourselves up the table.” The Bayley will be desperate to make up for Friday’s 3 at Wem USC and know they need a win if they are to have a chance of the title.

Meole Brace host Bylet will both teams in good form having reached the Semi Finals of the KGJ Insurance County Cup. Meole have edged a lot of close games at home this season and will need to be on their game with the visit of in form Bylet. Visiting captain Scott Harries says “Me and the boys are looking forward to this one and finally starting to catch up on our games in hand. We’ve been pretty good away from home this season winning twice already so fingers crossed we can put in another positive performance and result. We always look to get 4-5 winners where ever we go, if we are in a position to push on for more and the win then great. Just climbing back up the table and out of our false position is our first aim. We know we have a lot of home games second half also and with Chester Road to come Friday at home we are hoping for a good points tally this week.”
