Meole in Derby, Bylet have tough test, Battle for 4th
Meole Brace have a Shrewsbury derby in week 20 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. They take on league leaders Castlefields knowing full well this will be a very tough test. Captain Chris Jones says “we welcome Castlefields who as always are going very well this season looking to put behind us a disappointing score from last week but we know will be a tough test.” The Fields know they are favourites to win the league now but can’t afford any slip ups away. The Bayley will look to capitalise on any slip up when they host Hanmer who come off a great home win last week. Wrockwardine Wood, in 3rd, will also look for a big away win at the Bylet, who are consigned to finishing in bottom spot this season, but will want to try and avoid having the lowest points total in the league of 100. Woore host Ifton looking to close the 25 point gap to their opponents above, with Hanwood, sandwiches between them, travelling to Burway who will be looking to start to get some good results at home in their remaining five home games to move up the table. Highley are in 6th and travel to Adderley who could still finish in their highest position in the league of 10th. St Georges come off their best result of the season last week and travel to Wem USC who need to start stringing some good results together to have a chance of a top half finish.
