Spencer reaches Quarters!
Spencer Clarke of Sir John Bayley reached the Quarter Finals of the All England in a fine run ended by eventual winner Ryan Prosser 10. He had beaten Dave McDermott 19, Paul Wilson 13 and Lewis Scott of St Georges 20 to get through that far. Lewis had defeated Joe Bown and James Wilcox 7 in his first two games. Pre-competition favourite Callum Wraight won his first game 18 against Roy Moxham before losing to Geraint Booth 20. Sir John Bayley’s Ross Dunkley beat Dan Jones 5 before losing 14 to Jack Hargreaves. His team mate Josh Hale lost out to Steve Freer 14 after beating Mick Lynch 10, while Paul Williams of Castlefields lost 18 to Steve Freer first round. Another Sir John Bayley player Gordon Hawkins won his first game 11 against James Higgins but then got beat by the winner 7. Stuart Rutter got 15 off Steve Parkin.
