Hanwood whitewashed St Georges in week 2 of the Salop Leisure Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Rob Carter led the way 7 with St Georges having three 20 losers. Castlefields had two 20 losers at Sir John Bayley as they lost 9-3. Most Consecutive Wins winner Scott Simpson led the way 8, with former SPBL Merit winner Mike Beer replying by the same score for the visitors. Wem USC bounced back from their home defeat by winning 11-3 at the Bylet. Captain Scott Thomas led by example winning 9, with Bylet’s best winner only being Tim Ealey 19, with four other games being won 19 or above. Chester Road also won away 10-4 at Wrockwardine Wood, Andy Smith best winner 8 with Dan Taylor and Rob Roden replying for the home side. Ifton beat Highley 8-4 as Geraint Williams was best winner 3 and Dennis Edwards 11 for the home and away side respectively. Hanmer defeated Meole Brace 9-3 as Jack Hewitt and Mark Thomas led the way 21-9 for the two sides respectively.
