2019 Review:
Newport returned to form as they finished 3rd in 2019. They stayed unbeaten at home, better than in 2018, and also picked up two away wins at Chester Road and Burway, as well as drawing at Wrockwardine Wood. They scored 4 or 5 in the other 10 away games, not quite enough to be able to challenge the top two.
2022 Aims:
It is very much a season of consolidation for Newport this season as, after missing last season, they have lost most of their team that finished the 2019 season. Ayden Smith has a big ask to steady the ship, but has brought in some talented youngsters like Kieran Buckley, Reece Farr, Aaron King and Ash Gregory along with the experience of Jim Fletcher.
