2019 Review:
Wem managed to repeat their position in 2018 as they finished in 7th place. It was remarkable given their poor start, losing their first five games, and only getting their first win over Ifton at home by one chalk with 5 winners. They did beat Castlefields next home game to kickstart their season, and didn’t lose another home game, including inflicting the worst defeat on the Champions Sir John Bayley 11-3. They did manage to win one away game at Meole Brace 10-6 near the end of the season.
2022 Aims:
They would love another top half finish like in 2019 and have added players to boost their squad. They have signed Andy Marshall, Dave Hanson, Sarah Weaver and Gareth Davies and have only lost Luke Grocott, so will have a better squad for this season. They will look for a much better start and aim to go unbeaten at home this season, and also add another away win or two if they can.
