MND Walkathon Challenge Match 2022 Preview
Shrewsbury and Telford finally get chance later to see who is the best when 12 of their finest players compete on the top green at St Georges in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Foundation from Premier League clubs in Telford and Shrewsbury. Mike Wainwright leads off for the Telford side and plays Darren Wellings in what promises to be a classy match at number one, as well as Scott Harries against Ash Wellings in the first four. The big clash of the night is home player Pete Farmer against Mike Beer at number 9, while Alex Jones against Adie Rowe could be a close affair. Jamie King and Gary Neal is another clash of two county players at the end of the middle four, while Telford name three players with Staffordshire connections; Scott Simpson, Paul Evans and Pete Cookson.
There will be a trophy for the best winners in the match, as well as an overall one for player of the match, kindly provided by Local Print Pros, who are sponsoring this event. All players and captains also get a medal as a memento for taking part.
