Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
Meet our North team below:
1. Gary Whitehall (Adderley) – Captain
Gary led Adderley into the Premier League after years of trying, and is leading by example in their League Averages this season. He has played for Archibald Worthington and Hanmer before that in our league.
2. Ian Howell (Adderley)
Ian is in his debut season in the league and has won 6 out of his 11 games at home single figures, showing the form that helped him reach the Quarter Finals of the Meole Open earlier this season.
3. Martin Lloyd (Chester Road)
Martin is a former Premier League Merit and Shropshire Merit winner, being an important player for Chester Road over the years, helping them win 3 league titles in a row as part of his near 600 games he has played for them.
4. Carl Hinton (Chester Road)
Carl made the move over from District in 2014 to Chester Road playing there for three seasons, before returning in 2021 with his son Ben.
5. Dave Ellison (Hanmer)
Dave captained Hanmer into the league but has stepped aside from that role to concentrate on playing. He had his best season in 2019 when winning 19 games, and is enjoying a good run this year.
6. Robin Bennett (Hanmer)
Robin has an excellent record at Hanmer, winning two thirds of the games he has played for them. He is a regular for the Welsh county side.
7. Ian Jones (Ifton)
Ian is a former Welsh Senior Merit winner, and won the “Wishy Dodd” player of the match award last season when helping Ifton win the County Cup for the first time.
8. Aileen Coleman (Ifton)
Aileen won the Ladies Welsh Merit last season, and has been a regular in the Whitchurch League side at Ifton this season, as well as the Ladies County side.
