Dennis Lewis Open Preview

The 2023 Dennis Lewis Open features another star field tomorrow. Holder Dan Taylor looks to retain the trophy, while the player he beat in last year’s final, Pete Farmer, is looking to go one better. Callum Wraight is back to try and win this again, with Kiah Roberts another former winner who is looking to do it again. Elliot McGuinness will look to make it a Shropshire double after winning the Wrockwardine Wood Open last weekend, while Jamie King will look to add this to his Newport Open success. Josh Bradburn was a semi finalist that competition, and Scott Harries will look to make it a Haygate Road double after winning the Bowring Open before. Josh Cotton has had an excellent season, as well as Tom Killen on the competition circuit. There are former homesters taking part with Steve Burroughs travelling down and Pete Grimston taking part. Dan Williams, Andy Duckett, Phil Lyttle, Ash and Darren Wellings all travel over from Hanwood, with Steve Pratt, Pete Varney, Darren Plenderleith, Stuart Perry, Michael Warrington and Natty Tonks making the longer trip from North Midlands. Ryan Stevens makes a welcome return to Shropshire bowls, with his brother Liam also taking part.
