Week 11 Preview

Bylet are looking for their first win since the first game of the season but face another tough home game against St Georges in week 11 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. Captain Cheryl Caswell says “we look forward to what is always a tough game against a very good team. Traditionally they tend to do okay on our green but as always our aim is to try and just get as many as we can and see what happens. More importantly, our thoughts and wishes go out to Cody Everitt and we wish him a speedy recovery.” The team below them, Horsehay, face a must win game against Adderley who just sit above the Bylet. Spokesman Steve Reeves says “we look forward to welcoming Adderley to the Hoss tonight. The last time we played them was in the playoff final and they’ve made some really good signings since then. We really haven’t been able to field a settled side the last few weeks through one thing or another and its important we try to find a way to get the close games over the line and maybe a little bit of luck wouldn’t go a miss to.  We are looking to make sure we use the home advantage count and put some more valuable points on the board.” Adderley come off their first win last week since April and know a win there will mean they can breath easier at the bottom.

Wrockwardine Wood sit top after their win midweek but now face a tough trip to an in form Hanwood side. Hanwood captain Simon Lane says “this match will be a tough game for us, Wrockwardine Wood have had a good record at our place in recent reasons, we will try and continue our good form and scrape a good result. I hope their team come to enjoy the game and it’s played in good spirits.” Castlefields will look for a good home win over Highley to leapfrog the Wrockites, while the Bayley will look to do the same at home to Burway. But Highley and Burway have had some good results lately, the latter having won their last three games. Hanmer meet Meole Brace with both teams having struggled lately after having a good run earlier in the season. Ifton come off their first loss last week in 5 so will look for a good home win over Wem USC to restart a winning run. Wem though come off a big home win last week so will be wanting to build on that.
