2024 Aim: We’ve added good experience to our team this year and have added a good level of competition for places. We had a good year last year and hope to maintain that form coming into this year. Our aim is to push on for another top half finish and maintain our good home form.

Comments: Hanmer couldn’t repeat their top half finish in 2023 as they struggled for a full team, they used 31 players overall. It started well though with a win at Adderley, and then losing out by just one against Castlefields in the Pool A Semi Final. However two poor home results against the bottom two, and then just 3 winners at home to Sir John Bayley, started a struggle for the rest of the season. They did win four straight home games in double figures, and 6 winners at Highley and 5 at Hanwood meant an upturn in form but then they got 3 winners at home to Castlefields. A change of captaincy didn’t help them move up the table, but a 11-3 home win over Wrockwardine Wood was their best performance of the season.
Winter Aims: To find some stability and keep their more regular players as well as getting others to commit to more games if possible, but two have already moved onto new clubs.
