Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowls League
Castlefields were the second team to qualify for the Newport 4 Person Team. They beat a Meole Brace/Prince Hotel/Castlefields side in the qualifier after Josh Hale had won 6 and Wayne Rogers 13.
In the 1st round they just got past a Potteries side by 3 chalks, Adam Jones and Mark Taylor winning for them 12 and 15 respectively, more than the wins of 13 by Martin Hallam and 17 by Daz Clutton. The Combined side had a close game with Horsehay too, only winning by 4, Adie Rowe winning 13 and Danny Wornell 20 as Gavin Bridge and Phil Wain won 17 and 20 respectively for the Hoss.
Tonight sees Wrockwardine Wood take on Shifnal, while the Glasscutters play Trench.
