Alex Wolfenden won the first ever Shifnal Spring Open after beating Scott Simpson 21-17 in the final that finished just before half 11. He was 12-4 down but played a good bowl to get in and played very well on a mark over the middle to lead 15-12 and win 17. In the Semi Finals he beat Clay Flattley in the only game he lead early, going 8-3 up and then holding off any fightback by Clay to win 16. The other Semi saw Scott Simpson go 14-2 up on Sam Millward and win 8.
Well done to Alex on his success and being on the reserve list for the Champion of Champions.
