Pool A
Record winners Castlefields are looking for a league double as they take on Hanwood, who are in their first ever Pool A Final. Captain Steve Peach is “looking forward to finishing the season in style with the Pool A and Free Press Cup this weekend. Hanwood will be out for a bit of revenge on us after our result at their place in the league a few weeks ago so we are expecting a tough game and one we are looking forward to and a few beers after.” Hanwood skipper Simon Lane says “we are looking forward to our first appearance in the Pool A final. Obviously we have a very tough task on our hands playing against the premier league winners and the team that inflicted our first 16-0 home defeat. We will go with the mindset of trying our best and most of all enjoying the last game of our summer season.”

Pool B
Adderley will perhaps face their toughest test of their unbeaten record in this competition as they take on St Georges on their bottom green. Captain Connor Whitehall says “we look forward to tonight’s Final against a competitive St Georges side. We’ve had a good run in this competition so far during our time in the league and will be looking to win it for our third consecutive season.” This is the first time St Georges have ever been in the Pool B and will look to keep their unbeaten record in this competition going. Skipper Martin Gaut says “we’re proud to be hosting this year’s Pool A/B Finals, with our own side in the Pool B Final on our non‑premier green. It’s been a tough, transitional year for the club, so to finish the season with a final on home turf feels especially rewarding. Finals are never easy, and history shows the home side doesn’t always have it their own way, but with the support of our members and the pride of our club behind us, we’re ready to give it everything. Best of luck to all four teams — here’s to two great finals.”
