Ifton face tough Wrockties trip, Top 2 look for home wins
Ifton face a tough trip to Wrockwardine Wood in week 2 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. They have only ever got more than 4 there twice, in 2016 and 2017. Wrockwardine Wood come off a good away win at Wem USC and would want a good win over their rivals to keep that momentum up. The two teams above Ifton are looking for good home wins to back up last week’s good wins. Table toppers Highley entertain Wem USC, looking for more than their 8-6 win over them last year, while Wem would love a repeat of that points haul again. Castlefields are at home again, this time against Woore, who come off a good start to their campaign last week against Hanmer. Hanmer will look to bounce back with a solid home win over Burway, who travel once again this week. Hanwood will look for another good win at home to St Georges, who themselves come off a solid home win over Meole Brace last week. Two teams who lost last week meet as Meole Brace host Bylet, both teams looking to bounce back. Sir John Bayley and Adderley are another two teams looking to bounce back as they meet down Haygate Road, the Bayley knowing a big home win is needed to keep Castlefields honest.
