Burway face Champs, North & South Shropshire Clashes
Burway face the champions Castlefields as they continue their long run of home games left in week 15 of the Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League. They only just beat Highley last week though, and face a Fields team in great form, having took 28 points off St Georges in their double header. Second placed Sir John Bayley will be looking to keep up as they host Ifton who are on a run of just one defeat in 11 and are now in 4th place. There are North and South Shropshire clashes. Hanmer host Woore with each team having contrasting seasons. Hanmer have dropped down to 13th place, while Woore sit 7th. Hanmer joint skipper Dave Ellison says “today sees us take on Woore at home and apart from the SJB result our home form has been solid all season. We welcomed Woore on Tuesday in the Whitchurch League which is not ideal but with the drying conditions it will be a totally different pace from the other night.”
In the south of the county Bylet travel to Highley knowing it was take some great results to move off bottom spot. Highley are up to 5th place and will be looking for a big home win to stay there. Hanwood host Adderley also looking for a big home win and build on their fine home win over Wrockwardine Wood last week. Adderley have moved up from 13th and know they should be able to relax for the rest of the season now. Wrockwardine Wood host Wem USC looking to bounce back from that loss at Hanwood, but Wem sit in 8th and are looking for a top half finish. Meole Brace are just below them in 9th and will look for a good home win over St Georges who will be desperate to bounce back from just 1 winner in their last two games.
