Fields & Bayley battle for title, 5th & 10th places up for grabs
Castlefields know that an 11-3 win is enough to deliver their 13th Taylor Support Shropshire Premier Bowling League in week 26. They host Wem USC, who they beat 14-0 last season, and just need two points to guarantee 9th, but that would require Burway beating Sir John Bayley 14-0, a feat they did achieve though in 2017. The Bayley know they need to win big to have any chance of reclaiming the title. Woore are 7 points ahead of Hanwood in 5th and know 8 points at Meole Brace will confirm that place if Hanwood defeat Ifton 14-0. Ifton will stay in 4th regardless of the result, with Wrockwardine Wood also guaranteed 3rd place. They travel to Highley who need 5 points to guarantee a top half finish, with Meole aiming to take advantage if they don’t get those. The battle for 10th sees Burway start with a 7 point advantage over St Georges who travel to Hanmer. Hanmer need to beat them 10-4 to overtake St Georges in 11th. The bottom two meet as Adderley host Bylet, Bylet needing 8 to beat White Horse’s record points total. Adderley need to outscore Hanmer by at least 4 or St Georges by 10 to move up a place.
