Newport edge past Dragons, Wrockites hold on against Bowring, Hadley beat Bylet
There was a couple of tense games tonight in the Pool A and B as two teams won by single figures. Over at Bowring Newport edged past St Georges by just 6 shots. It was all level after the first four but Newport went on to take the back four by 6 shots and proceed to the Semi Finals. In Pool B, Wrockwardine Wood survived a scare as they beat Bowring by 4 shots over at Newport. The Wrockites took 3 out of the first four to lead by over 20 but Bowring fought back with Mark Taylor and Rich Lawson winning halfway to bring the shots back, but Tom Langford last on got 19 to get them over the line. It wasn’t so close on St Georges bottom green as Hadley USC ran out winners by 31 overall. But after four they were only 7 shots up and it was Ian Pessall’s 4 win that made the big difference in the back.

Ifton walkover vs. Castlefields

Pool B Results:
Hadley USC beat Bylet by 31 on St Georges bottom green.
Wrockwardine Wood beat Bowring by 4 on Newport premier green
Wem USC walkover vs. Chester Road
Burway walkover vs. Archibald Worthington
